Big Ten Network

As a freelance graphic designer at Big Ten Network, I was in charge of creating graphics for a variety of sports and events. I helped to incorporate four new schools into BTN designs, along with generating a new package for an upcoming basketball season. During this time, I became more adept at using Adobe Creative Cloud.

Since we had just adopted Oregon, Washington, UCLA, and USC, we wanted to show how far BTN had come since its founding. With that in mind, I created “BTN Throughout the Years”, capturing how far the company has gone.

The graphics shown below were made for the talking head, so the viewer could better visualize what the hosts are talking about during the broadcast by highlighting teams, players, and topics. The goal of these graphics was to promote increased engagement from the audience while prioritizing visually appealing design to keep the viewer entertained.

These were made when talking about a basketball game that had already happened. These graphics were also used to transition between talking points to help move on to a new topic.

BTN had just adopted Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington into the conference. So I decided to create a basic background that encompasses all teams, but not including any sports.
